Luisa started her career as a professional dancer and has over five years experience in the fitness industry. Her career as a personal trainer developed from her own personal experience in injury rehabilitation due to a injury she sustained in her dancing career. Luisa’s passion for strength and stability in the body has enabled her to develop a personal training style which incorporates skills such as balance, coordination and flexibility with a strong focus on posture correction.

Luisa strives to ensure that her clients’ needs are continuallly met and enjoys the challenge of working with a variety of clients with different needs. She has experience in dealing with weight management, core stability, fitness, rehabilitation and pre and post natal training

Luisa understands the need for a personalised approach when it comes to training with her clients. She is distinguished by her ability to provide an in-depth knowledge and experience of rehabilitation training. Luisa will work along side other health professionals using a variety of techniques from kettle bells and stability ball work to sports massage in order for her clients to achieve their specific goals.

Luisa enjoys working with pre and post natal clients and finds it a rewarding experience helping them safely negotiate their training during the pregnancy as well as supporting them after the birth. She has extensive knowledge in conditions such as pubic synthesis disorder/pelvic girdle pain

Luisa is focused and dedicated to the individual needs of her clients to ensure that they achieve their lifestyle goals. She ensures that each session is diverse, motivational and most of all FUN.

When’s she’s not swingin around from a trapeze or spinning around in a pole dancing class….she loves nothing more than sitting down with a cup of coffee and large slice of double chocolate cake. When she’s not hanging out with friends or going to concerts and festivals… chilling out with her feet up and a good movie is the next best thing.

Jon Serni

Jon has over 15 years experience in the fitness industry both in New Zealand and the UK. Jon’s outdoor life style in New Zealand helped develop his competitive streak, which has influenced his approach to training. He is goal oriented, committed to success and understands the importance of seeing positive outcomes in order to keep clients focused on achieving their goals.

Jon provides his clients with individualised, comprehensive fitness programmes to ensure that their personal objectives are met. Using his wealth of experience he is able to train clients with different needs ranging from general fitness and weight management to rehabilitation, and specific training for athletes.

Jon encourages and motivates his clients to stay focused on their major goals. He believes that each training session should be enjoyable, as this will maximise their performance and make anything attainable. He employs a variety of training techniques ranging from functional training, pad work and free weights to strength and stability exercises, to keep the client interested and maximise the training sessions.

Jon has a vast experience in sports coaching and training, ranging from rugby and cricket teams to tri-athletes and martial artists. Having played many sports himself, at different levels of competition, he understands what is needed to get the best out of the athlete or team. Whether a client is training for a single event or a whole season, each session is structured to get the desired results.

Jon has also prepared male and female clients for bodybuilding competitions and has competed himself. Through his experience he is able to guide clients to success, by encouraging self–determination and discipline in their training schedules and by promoting a positive change.

Jon is strongly committed to ensuring that all his clients achieve their goals and always works closely with them, adjusting their sessions when necessary to accomplish a positive outcome.

When not coaching rugby, playing rugby, or talking about rugby Jon likes to …drink a real beer (unlike Terry) and eat a curry while watching rugby… Not that he is obsessed with rugby!! Rain, hail, sun and snow… you’ll always see him in a pair of shorts.

Terry Fairclough

Terry has over ten years experience in the fitness industry. He is a qualified nutritional therapist, sports massage therapist and experienced chef. Terry approaches each client as an individual and develops a bespoke programme plan to achieve their goals. His personal training skills have developed through his background in the martial arts of muay thai, jiu-jitsu and jeet kune do.

Terry combines a wide range of training techniques and knowledge to enable his clients to focus on their major goals. His attitude is to inspire, encourage and motivate his clients to achieve their aims in life. He ensures that he creates a programme that is challenging and rewarding which enables the clients to be fitter, leaner,and stronger, and encourages a healthier outlook on their lifestyle.

Terry uses his skills as a personal trainer and nutritional therapist to help clients with conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, polycystic ovaries, PMS, and spina bifida. He provides one to one nutritional consultations to help evaluate symptoms and find solutions to assist clients in making the necessary changes in their lifestyle. Working with a lot of clients whose goals are weight loss, his background as a chef together with his nutritional therapy gives him the ability to create a tailor-made programme covering both exercise and dietary needs.

Terry has developed a self-defence technique which both male and female clients can learn. Through pad work or gentle sparring, it enables clients to be more confident, self-aware and helps to develop stability and flexibility. Incorporating his martial arts background, Terry focuses on the styles and skills that are effective in the gym or on the street. Variety is the key to these sessions, making them not only challenging, but fun!!

If he’s not working or training in the gym… Terry likes nothing better than sitting down after a hard day with a shandy in his hand, a curry on the table and the UFC on TV. Learning Spanish, playing badminton or taking his daughter to musicals are just a few things that he tries to squeeze into his day to day life.
