Nutrition

Nutritional Therapy addresses imbalances in the body with the focus on diet. This complementary therapy recognises that people have individual requirements and the main objective is the health of the client. Nutritional therapy is considered to be a complementary therapy, which can be used alongside orthodox medicine. This therapy focuses on dietary/nutritional solutions for clients through identification of their current nutritional, dietary and lifestyle factors which are contributing to their symptoms and/or conditions.

Through a series of consultations with our therapist, we will work together with you to design a plan with attainable dietary and lifestyle changes that will help alleviate the symptoms and restore you back to optimum health.

The first consultation will last for an hour and focuses on dietary and medical history investigation and the formulation of a specific dietary plan based on the information provided by you. Tests may be necessary to pinpoint any specific physiological imbalances. Testing ensures that specific imbalances are targeted instead of a more general approach which may take longer to produce results.

What can you expect from the consultation?

Prior to your consultation you will be sent a questionnaire and diet diary to fill in and bring along. During the consultation you will also be asked further questions to collate further information to help identify any current nutritional, dietary and lifestyle factors that are contributing to your symptoms and health conditions. These factors will be explained to you so that we can work together to make your health improvement plan.

Following the initial consultation a health improvement plan will be sent out to you with information and suggestions, as a guide tailored to your unique needs.

A follow up should take place within a month of the initial consultation. It is advisable that a regular 8 week consultation should take place to keep you on track and take the protocols to the next stage.
